Gary Reichenberg, Managing Director

Gary is the Managing Director of Executive Edge Travel + Events. Since its commencement in 2000, Gary has built the company from its head office in Caulfield, Melbourne to become one of the largest privately owned travel management companies in Victoria, employing over 25 staff and a satellite office located in Geelong. Gary previously worked for Ernst & Young, Polygram Records, Crown Casino and HRG (formerly BTI Travel) in senior finance positions. He has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Swinburne and became a Chartered Accountant 16 years ago. Gary not only provides strategic direction and focus, he also steers the development of products, solutions and services that support the long term acquisition and retention of leisure and corporate clients.

Sally Turner, Director

Sally started her illustrious travel career in 1992 before becoming a partner and director of Executive Edge at its founding in 2000. In her previous eight years in the travel industry, Sally worked as a Domestic & Senior Travel Consultant and Customer Service Manager for prestigious travel firms. Sally has been recognised throughout her career for outstanding sales and has won multiple industry awards in sales and customer service. Sally started her education in the United Kingdom, then returned to Australia to complete her VCE with honours at Melbourne Girls Grammar School. Sally received a Bachelor of Business Management from Monash University and then obtained a Certificate 111 in Tourism International Travel Sales from Jetset Travel College. She is acknowledged as a leading authority in the travel business.

Yvonne Verstandig, Director

  • Accredited Cruise Consultant through the ICCA
  • 10 years involvement with Access Fundraising Group (in the roles of presidency, event management and chair person) funding Integration for Children with Disabilities

After ten years in the pharmaceutical industry, Yvonne left her qualified profession to follow her dream and passion for travel. With three young children she tackled the challenge of a major career change with ease and enthusiasm to take up her new vocation with total dedication and love. She is known within the industry as a workaholic and being totally devoted to her company and clients. After escorting Yvonne on an educational trip, an industry colleague praised, “I have never met a more diligent and hard working / interested travel consultant before.” Although an avid traveller, Yvonne never seems to take a real holiday as there are always hotels to visit, rooms to inspect and places to research to keep up to date with the absolute latest information on the leisure industry. Yvonne specialises in designing private tailor-made tours around the world to suit the needs of each leisure client.
